Addition and Renovation
Project Summary:
BJFW provided structural engineering services for the addition and
renovation of Conard High School in West Hartford, Connecticut.
The existing high school has a gross area of 230,000 square feet
and consists of one, two and three story buildings. Alterations
were performed on approximately 22,000 square feet of the existing
building. In addition, approximately 50,000 square feet of new one
and
two story steel framed buildings were constructed at various locations
around the school building. |

Poquonock School,

Structural Investigation and Emergency Repair |

Project Summary:
This project represents the broad scope of BJFW expertise. The Poquonock
School suffered structural damage during the tornado that swept
through the Bradley Field, Route 75 Windsor Locks/Windsor area in
the late summer. With school having just started for the year BJFW
performed a structural investigation and emergency repair project.
Following this work mechanical and electrical engineering design
for general renovations was added to the scope of BJFW service. |
