Loureiro was retained by the Town of East Granby to provide the engineering services for the widening and extension of an existing two-lane, 3,000 foot dead-end road to a new and improved 5,000 foot, 30 foot wide, two lane connector to the perimeter road surrounding Bradley International Airport. Loureiro prepared base mapping depicting existing conditions and developed detailed design plans and specifications detailing the reconstruction project. Design elements included horizontal and vertical alignment, stormwater management systems, various underground utilities, lighting, signage, and reinforced backfill systems and pavement.
Loureiro assisted the town with the contract administration services. These services included an evaluation of all bids, preparation of a recommendation for award of the contract; consultation and advice on construction matters, onsite representation including periodic site visits, shop drawing reviews, a final inspection, and the preparation of record drawings.
