The Carriage Crossing Subdivision was built on 166 acres of undeveloped land in the northern section of Tolland, Connecticut. The project leveraged Loureiro’s unique design-build capabilities, including expertise in regulatory permitting, as well as, surveying, extensive engineering, design, and construction experience.
The site consisted of wooded uplands, shrub swamps, marsh meadows and open water aquatic beds. Through careful planning and design considerations in conjunction with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, Loureiro has built a unique neighborhood integrated with extensive open space and conservation easement areas.
Extensive stormwater quality and hydraulic attenuation and other low impact development (LID) features were incorporated into this project, including the use of on-site natural features to protect water quality, extensive use of conservation easements, and controlled site and lot clearing.
