Loureiro provided the Cookson Precious Metals Division professional services and support during environmental management system development and implementation in accordance with ISO 14001. Services included professional guidance and technical assistance in support of and under the direction of the ISO 14001 implementation team. Key Tasks performed include:

  • Development of an implementation plan and tracking system for the management systems, as well as ongoing assistance with maintenance and updates.
  • Identification of all the significant environmental regulations applicable to the facility, as well as their current compliance status (regulatory compliance gap analysis) based on a site audit and review of operations.
  • Technical and engineering support in implementing Corrective Actions based on the compliance gap analysis.
  • Technical and engineering support in developing and implementing emergency response procedures and evaluating the effectiveness.
  • Technical and engineering support in identifying environmental aspects or impacts.
  • Facilitation and technical support in development of an internal audit matrix and schedule and finalization of internal audit program within EMS manual.
