Mr. Loureiro has over 34 years of experience in the management, planning, design, permitting, construction, and operation, monitoring and maintenance of a wide variety of projects in the fields of Civil and Environmental engineering. He has worked on projects throughout the United States as well as internationally for some of the world’s largest corporations, a variety of Federal, State and local government entities, and hundreds of clients in the commercial, industrial, residential and retail markets. In his capacity as CEO of Loureiro, he is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the firm’s strategic plan which is designed to ensure the continued growth, development and profitability of the organization. He also continues to consult on a variety of projects being undertaken by the Company.
Mr. Cutler joined Loureiro Engineering Associates in 1991 and has extensive expertise in the development, planning, engineering, evaluation, design and construction administration of various projects in the fields of Civil and Environmental engineering. He is recognized as a leader in the integration of remediation and redevelopment and has worked on some of the largest Brownfield redevelopment projects in Connecticut. His work also includes projects throughout Connecticut, the northeast and midwest for Fortune 500 corporations, local, State and Federal government entities, and a myriad of private entities. In his capacity as President of Loureiro, Cutler directs operations, administration and client relations and is responsible for establishing and achieving the vision, market strategy and performance objectives of the firm.
Pete Susca joined Loureiro Engineering Associates in 2002, and brings over 30 years of environment, health and safety (EHS) leadership and technical expertise to the firm. Prior to starting Loureiro’s Environment, Health and Safety Division, Mr. Susca served in a variety of EHS executive leadership positions in Fortune 500 multi-national corporations and consulting firms. He has developed and deployed EHS management systems, rating systems, auditing and auditor certification programs, effectiveness and cultural assessments, educational management systems, executive development programs, functional systems integration, incident investigation and high-risk industry fatality prevention programs for a wide variety of clients. In his present role, Mr. Susca is responsible for the strategic leadership of firm’s EH&S, Civil/Survey and SMEP Divisions, the Rhode Island and Massachusetts offices and the Corporate Safety and Quality functions.
George Andrews joined Loureiro Engineering Associates in 1990 and has more than 22 years of experience in the planning, engineering, design, supervision, inspection, administration and management of civil and environmental projects for government and private sector clients. As the vice president of the Civil/Survey Division, Andrews is active in a variety of civil engineering and environmental project roles, including scheduling and supervision of technical personnel, budget evaluation, preparation of progress reports, public presentations, interaction with clients and regulatory agencies and providing expert testimony.
Margaret Averill, the manager of Loureiro’s New Hampshire office, has more than 20 years experience in the planning, evaluation, implementation, administration and management of a wide variety of compliance, environmental and hazardous waste projects. As a firm vice president, her responsibilities include scheduling and supervision of technical personnel, budget evaluation, project tracking, and interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. Averill also manages WorkWaste LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. that offers clients a full array of industrial waste management services.
Sam Butcher joined Loureiro in 2011 to open its newest office in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area. As Vice President, Mr. Butcher is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the consulting practice of Loureiro’s Massachusetts office, personally focusing on projects that involve assessment and remediation of brownfield properties. With over 20 years of technical experience, he has directed numerous environmental investigations, remedial action planning and implementation, and permitting projects. He has evaluated, developed and designed remedial strategies and provided managerial oversight of numerous multi-million dollar remediation projects in a variety of contaminated media.
Dave Fiereck joined Loureiro Engineering Associates in 2000 and has more than 13 years experience in planning, engineering, design, and supervision of environmental projects for private sector and government clients. Mr. Fiereck’s experience includes multi-phase site investigations; remediation planning, design, and construction; soil and groundwater treatment systems; industrial wastewater; and landfill closure. As Vice President, Mr. Fiereck is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Division including the supervision and scheduling of technical personnel, business development, client management and interaction with regulatory agencies, technical review of project deliverables, public presentations, budget evaluation, and project tracking.
Scott Miller joined Loureiro Engineering Associates in 1996 and has over 17 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction as well as operation, maintenance and monitoring of a wide variety of projects. His experience includes site utilities, soil and groundwater remediation systems, wastewater collection and treatment systems, water distribution systems, landfill caps, industrial and commercial buildings, etc. Mr. Miller has held several leadership positions with the Company and currently serves as Vice President of the Industrial Solutions Division. In this position he is responsible for business development, new service evaluation and development, client management, scheduling and supervision of technical personnel, project budget management, and the overall performance of the Division.
Mr. Salimeno joined Loureiro Engineering Associates in 1991 and has been involved in the development, planning, engineering, evaluation, design and construction administration of various environmental projects for private sector clients. As a firm vice president, his responsibilities included scheduling and supervision of technical personnel, budget evaluation, project tracking and interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. Mr. Salimeno is an expert in state and federal environmental regulations and is responsible for the firm’s Hazardous Building Materials Practice.
Edward Shelomis joined the Loureiro team in 2010 to lead a division of the Company which provides structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering. Prior to joining Loureiro, he spent several years in private practice and managed the Connecticut office of a large New York consulting engineering company that focused on providing structural engineering services, site/civil engineering services and land surveying for clients in the Southern Connecticut. Mr. Shelomis’ structural engineering practice provided engineering support for hundreds of buildings – from municipal projects such as firehouses, libraries and schools, to the commercial and industrial sides of the practice. His portfolio includes airports, educational facilities, libraries, industrial facilities, office developments, educational facilities and exterior athletic playing fields.
